MISSION

The mission of the center is to promote cross cultural awareness, diversity and multiculturalism  through various inter cultural and educational  projects or events. We strive to bring diverse communities on a common platform via our activities in order to achieve a more harmonious society in Calgary.

 Our current activities include the following events:

·         Noah’s Pudding

·         Friendship Dinners

Our vision is to contribute to Calgary’s diverse and multicultural communities through different services, in order to achieve

  • A more coherent society where richness of cultural diversity is not only acknowledged and appreciated but also seen as a source of unity and strength.
  • Diverse communities where people live in accord and embraces multiculturalism.
  • A atmosphere where every member of the community come to know, care, respect and cherish his/her social and natural environment

 

 OBJECTIVES

Burç Intercultural Center has been established in 2006 with the mandate of bridging intercultural differences and support or undertakes activities and events that promote multiculturalism, which are essential for a cohesive, peaceful and successful society.

 

The objectives of the center are :

1- Contribute to Calgary’s growing society with promoting intercultural events and support educational and cultural activities, which are open to general public.

2- To celebrate multiculturalism in Calgary through display of various culture in the light of arts & crafts, music & dance, fun shows and cuisine.

3- To bridge differences through intercultural dialog and strengthen intercultural ties among communities.

4-  To provide a platform for intercultural dialogue, interaction and knowledge sharing for  acknowledging  and appreciating  diverse cultures.

Founded by Turkish-Canadians of Calgary in 2006, Burç Intercultural Centre is a non-profit organization that endeavors to promote respect and mutual understanding among all cultures through partnership with other cultural organizations, and by organizing educational and cultural activities.
